Notice is hereby given that a Special Election shall be held in Thomas County to fill the vacancy and unexpired term of Thomas County Commissioner, District 6, which ends December 31, 2028, due to the passing of Commissioner Wiley Grady. The Special Election shall be held on November 3, 2026.
Qualifying for the Special Election will be held at the Thomas County Elections Office, 1402 E. Jackson Street, Thomasville, Georgia 31792. Qualifying will open on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 and close on Thursday, August 6, 2026. The hours of qualifying each day will be from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. The qualifying fee shall be $216.00.
