Special Weapons and Tactics

The Thomas County Special Weapons and Tactics Team (S.W.A.T.) is a combined unit consisting of members from the Thomas County Sheriff's Office and Thomas County Emergency Medical Services. The unit handles high-risk warrants, barricaded suspects, hostage situations, and any other details assigned by the Sheriff. This unit also assists neighboring agencies with similar requests for assistance.
